Celebrities: Carnival Season, Eye-Candy

We're gonna Mardi-Gra to one song, and one song only: "Lady Humps"
So as you might have realized thus far, our group is a bunch of sprightly, adult-sized versions of kids in a candy store. We get overly excited about most things that come our way and gasps, “Ooo!s” and “Ahh!s” are the staples of our daily vernacular. Unsurprisingly, this ebullience becomes even more heightened during Mardi Gras.
With that being said, we’re just a tad tickled about the celebrities that are going to be gracing our presence in New Orleans for the 2012 Carnival season.
And this year we ain’t got no gummy bears in town, we got a plethora of $15 jaw breakers.

We on'y kind of know who you
are. But you're a New Orleanian.
And you're hott. So you win.

Actress Patricia Clarkson is the Honarary Muse for the Krewe de Muses: Thursday, February 16th 6:30pm, Uptown. You know her from The Green Mile & Shutter Island. And we know that if she wasn’t from New Orleans we wouldn’t be nearly as excited. But she is. So we are.

What Anderson Cooper will
look like after 12 hours of drinking

Adam Levine and Maroon 5 will lead as Grand Marshals of Endymion: Saturday February 18th at 4:15pm, Uptown. Anderson Cooper will also be riding as a special guest of the same krewe. As for The LOC Krewe, we will be starting the day at 5am with a party on the Neutral Ground Side. We most certainly plan on making it through the day to see this must see parade… however, if for some reason we drink too much and forget parts of the parade, we hope our brain holds precedence for Adam Levine over Anderson Cooper. (And if it does the opposite, we'll have some serious questions to ask ourselves).

What the LOC women hope Adam Levin will look like, regardless.

We're trying but WE DON'T
HAVE YOUR NUMBER
The holder of our hearts, Will Ferrell will serve as the God of Wine for the Krewe of Bacchus: Sunday February 19th at 5:15pm, Uptown. Bacchus is always another must-see parade, but we just might as well die if we miss Sir William reigning this year. Seriously, Will, hey, we love you, please wave to us.

Yep you'll be great...
but one parade is about all we're going to need of this.

Bret Michaels and Cyndi Lauper are the monarchs for the Krewe of Orpheus: Monday, February 20th at 6:00pm, Uptown. Although not as close to our hearts as Orpheus founder, Harry Connick, Jr. we’ll take these two for what they’re worth and enjoy this amazing parade. And if you just don’t get your fill of Bret Michaels during the parade (I don’t believe the recommended daily dosage is very large…) he will be performing in the Orpheuscapade the New Orleans Convention Center later that night.

So there you have it! Have fun enjoying the familiar, shining faces and sparkling eyes present in New Orleans for Mardi Gras this year! (And remember to glance away from your sweaty-faced, drunk-eyed friends once in a while to check out the celebrities I mentioned, too.)
