LoveOurCity™ was created to be an umbrella organization for tourists and locals alike, to help them understand how to truly love a great city. This enterprise began due to one Jane Doe’s insurmountable amount of love for her current city of New Orleans, Louisiana. And her reflection that she would honestly be heartbroken if anyone was to visit her city without feeling the same way – or at least without giving them a fighting chance.
In a utopian future, LoveOurCity™ will grow into a reference for everything you could ever want to do or see in a particular city and for how to make your adventures as life-altering as possible. Complete with HowToLove: guides, anecdotal evidence of amazing times, and frequent spotlights on bars, events, and nights that last until 4am*. We want to do all of the leg work for you beforehand to ensure sure you know what to do/what to see/and how to completely fall in love with your destination no matter the duration of your stay.
As the concept evolves, we hope to collaborate with other individuals who wish to flaunt an unwavering, exceptional amount of immense love for the city they live in – and for those who wish for others to see it in the same light.
*Despite the plethora of daytime activities, the amount of fun to be had in each city is very dependent on the time the bars close. For example: New Orleans bars don’t close; thus, you will have to be prepared to weigh the excitement of living vs. sleeping during your stay (AKA few of us can remember the last time we got a good night’s sleep). Other locals will make this much easier; i.e., Nebraska (up until last year) closed its bars at 1am, thus not much deliberating needed to be done. Please be sure to respect your city bar’s hours of operation and take into consideration that the earlier you wake up, the earlier you can begin loving the city you’re in.
